This spring, the WSA worked with Middletown Area Transit to bring the M-LINK bus to campus on Saturdays. Starting May 3, the service has been expanded to weekdays, meaning it now stops at Wesleyan six days a week. This bus represents a regular, affordable option for students looking to get off campus without a car.
The bus stop is located at the corner of Williams and High Street. The bus heads to the Meriden train station (with Amtrak transfer to New Haven), Westfield Mall, and Wal-Mart, among other places. A one-way trip costs only $1.25 (but remember to bring exact change).
From Monday to Friday it stops at Williams and High at the following times: 7.30, 8.30, 9.30, 10.30, 11.30, 12.30, 1.30, 2.30, 3.45, 4.45
For more information on when the bus reaches the other stops visit: http://www.middletownareatransit.org/mlink.php. Please note the website has not yet been updated to include the Wesleyan stop, but the times for the other stops are accurate. You are encouraged to arrive five minutes early to the stop, and be patient since the bus may occasionally be running a bit behind schedule.
If you have comments, questions, or suggestions about the M-Link, please do not hesitate to email the WSA at wsa@wesleyan.edu or Zachary Malter at zmalter@wesleyan.edu.
Also, check out this Wesleying post for more information.
Jeff, Well I stand corrected then. I’m glad the bus is stopping at 6:30 for those students who need it. Thanks for filling me in on that info.

Today the 630 stopped at Wesleyan.

Jeff, yes there is a 6:30 bus, but as of now it will not be making stops at Wesleyan. You can, however, pick it up at the Middletown Area Transit station on Main Street. This is subject to change in the near future.

The post should note that the bus is also scheduled for 630am.
The 630 and 730 buses get to the train station in time for the 708 and 808 amtraks to New Haven.

Great, even more isolation from Middletown. Why can’t we just walk down to Main St…?

It should take between twenty and thirty minutes. If you look at the official M-Link schedule linked to in the post, the Williams & High stop occurs between the Wal-Mart and Middletown Terminal stops.
how long does it take to get from that stop to the Meriden train station?
