– as a group, work to create knitted/crocheted artworks that are accessible to the entire community (yarn-bombing, installation pieces, etc.) during the spring semester
– emphasize and enjoy the crafting process
Crafters of all skill levels are totally welcome, including those who have never laid hands on a needle.

Student Group Fair Registration: Last Call

WSA Coordinator Nandita Vijayaraghavan ’13 writes:

The Student Groups Fair is this week and this is your last chance to register your student group for a spot.  This event is a great way to showcase your group and recruit incoming students – don’t miss out on this great opportunity!

To register, go to and click on “Registration Process”. Fill out the form. Your student group does not need to be officially registered with COEAC in order to sign up. You are also encouraged to use posters, props or acts to supplement your booth.

The deadline to register has been extended to Tuesday, September 14th, at noon.

The Fair itself will be this Friday, Sept 17th from 2-5 pm in the Usdan Courtyard. (The rain location is the Spurrier-Snyder Hockey Rink in the Freeman Athletic Center.) Recruit new members for your group, or find new student groups to join. A splendid time is guaranteed for all.

Auditions for “Becoming Twenty-Something: A Cabaret Evening”

Ross Shenker ’11 and Samantha Pearlman ’11 write…

Auditions have begun for Second Stage’s production of “Becoming Twenty-Something: A Cabaret Evening.” This production will consist of 4-6 singers who will perform existing songs from contemporary pop music and musical theater. You will have the unique opportunity to learn how to select repertoire that is not only a good choice vocally but emotionally as well. Each singer will recount personal experiences, stories, and anecdotes and attempt to find music/lyrics that embody the stories in a way simple words cannot. Performances are October 7th, 8th, and 9th in The ’92 Theater. Auditions are by appointment and we ask you to prepare a 1-2 minute pop or musical theater song. Sheet music is preferred as a pianist will be on hand. E-mail or to set up an audition time. You must contact us by September 17th in order to be considered.
