30 Mosques in 30 Days

During the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, New York comedian Aman Ali, and his filmmaker friend Bassam Tariq decided to observe the month with Muslims from a different state each day. They hopped in a blue Chevy Cobalt, drove over 13,000 miles and blogged daily at 30mosques.com, with tens of thousands of followers worldwide. Along the way, they prayed in the infamous ‘Ground Zero’ mosque, got pulled over by a cop in Mississippi, and visited the first mosque in the U.S. in Ross, North Dakota- a town with only 48 people. They two will discuss the communities they met and share photos and videos from their trip. They’ve been featured on CNN, ABC, BBC and have been interviewed for numerous publications including Time Magazine and Al Jazeera.
