Here are the basics for standby tickets for Richard III:
The Box Office opens at the CFA Theater one hour before each performance and will begin taking a waiting list for standby tickets at that point. Each person wanting a ticket must be there in person to put his or her name on the list for one ticket. If a ticket is returned or released, that ticket will be offered immediately to the next person on the list. Just before curtain time, and at the discretion of the house manager, the Box Office may be able to sell additional standby tickets to fill open seats. A handful of standby patrons almost always get into a sold out performance, and often, as many as 10-12 may be sold if there are a large number of no-shows. Of course, there are no guarantees, but if you really want to see Richard III, trying for a standby ticket is a good bet.
