Adopt or Donate a Book for the Holidays!

Jennifer Hadley has some announcements regarding books. First of all, if you want to donate books:

Don’t want to pack up your books?  Donate them to the Friends of the Wesleyan Library by putting them in the blue donation bin in the lobby of Olin Memorial Library.  All proceeds go to fund library events and special projects.  If you have any questions, email libfriends(at)wesleyan(dot)edu.  Thank you!

And if you want to adopt a book:

ADOPT A BOOK AS A GIFT FOR THE HOLIDAYS!

The Friends of the Wesleyan Library are pleased to announce the Wesleyan Library Adopt a Book Program, an opportunity to give a memorable gift to someone who loves books this holiday season or create a lasting tribute to a loved one.

How to Adopt a Book: There are a variety of books available for adoption. All you need do is (i) select a title from those on the Adopt a Book list (ii) decide on the donation level — $25 or more — and then (iii) either fill out and mail the donation form to the Friends or proceed to the online checkout to give your details and make your gift.  The beneficiary of your gift will have a personalized bookplate added to the selected book and will receive an acknowledgment of the gift, unless you specify otherwise.

How Your Donation Makes a Difference: Limited resources mean that the library can never treat all the books needing conservation as quickly as we would like. Adopt a Book was established to support the library’s conservation activities for books that have a direct connection to Wesleyan’s curriculum and/or are tied to Wesleyan’s history.

If you have any questions, please contact libfriends(at)wesleyan(dot)edu.

Wishing you Happy Holidays and all the best in the new year!

Thank you for supporting the Wesleyan University Library!
