Dr. Brightest Dog Diamond Tickets Tomorrow OMFG

A Winter Chill Blog Post?

This semester’s shaping up nicely on the concert front, and it’s only Day Two.  Next weekend: My Brightest Diamond. Two weeks after that: Dr. Dog [sidenote: I realize “My Old Ways” isn’t the most recent track I could’ve chosen, but I maintain it’s this band’s finest moment; snag We All Belong ASAP if you haven’t already]. Damn, Wes. Both thanks to the Radical Performance Machine. Both part of the RPM’s “Chill Winter Concert” series. And both on sale tomorrow, at Usdan, starting at noon. Jolly good, yeah? All the gruesome details on both shows, and a mad groovy RPM flier, after the jump. WE ALL BELONG AT BECKHAM, YO.

My Brightest Diamond will bring her beautiful voice, string ensemble, and hard rock to soothe your soul and get your spirit going. Sufjan Stevens and the Decemberists love her and you should too!

Emily Wells throws everything you never knew you loved about Vivaldi and Notorious B.I.G. in a blender and will serve you one hell of a multi-instrumentalist smoothie.

Mel Hsu ’13 and her magical cello will shatter your heart and evoke the emotional equivalent to watching Toy Story 3 and the best sunset of your life at the same time!

  • Date: Saturday, January 29
  • Place: Memorial Chapel
  • Time: 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Cost: $4
  • Facebook Event: “Zach likes this.”

Dr. Dog, the kickass psychedelic soul rock band from the City of Brotherly Love, is coming to Wes! They sound like the best bands of the 60s got trapped in a time machine to the future! Hang on, there’s more!

Opening the show is The Head and the Heart, Seattle’s Best New Band (believe it).
