The Annie Sonnenblick Visiting Writer Michael Cunningham (author of the Pulitzer Prize winning novel The Hours) will hold master classes from 9am-10:30am on Thursday, Feb. 17th, and Friday, Feb. 18th.
Thursday’s class will focus on student work with Cunningham discussing the process of writing stories. Cunningham will speak about several student submissions (drawn from past Annie Sonnenblick prize winning pieces). On Friday from 9-10am, Cunningham will give a short talk about his work, and then will discuss publishing. Following the class, there will be a delicious brunch that is open to all those who’ve attended. We encourage students from any major to join us for this special opportunity! Both classes will be held in the Shapiro Center event room, Allbritton 311. There are a few seats open for Thursday’s class, and many more open for the Friday class.
