Course Description:
In this course students will practice writing about movies for various modes of new journalism: newsprint, books, anthologies, magazines, journals and all forms of electronic media. Suitable topics will include examining movies for purposes of film criticism, history, cultural issues, and non-fiction modes, with the goal of publishing. Regular writing assignments on specific films (as well as films of students’ choice) will be accompanied by readings and screenings. Read about Wasson here.
