Barbaralynn Moseman ’13, who is so badass she has two first names squeezed into one, writes in to inform anybody out there lookin’ to do some good about an opportunity to – guess what? – do some good:
Interested in teaching languages?
Interested in pursuing a career in clinical psychology?
Interested in teaching foreign culture lessons in a clinical, hospital setting?
If you answered yes to any of these you may be interested in the CVH Language Learning Initiative, started by Barbaralynn Moseman ’13, in conjunction with Prof. Jim Donady (Bio Dept).
The CVH Language/Culture Learning Initiative is a project focusing on social interaction through teaching foreign language and culture and ASL ,and conducting small reading circle discussions (in English) at Connecticut Valley Hospital, a facility for patients with mental illness. Teaching will be done by Wesleyan students, with the purpose of the program to engage residents socially through learning through various disciplines of language practice.
