Emma Kingsberg ’12 sends word about volunteer opportunities at Connecticut Valley Hospital:
Connecticut Valley Hospital is the state’s principle forensic, general psychiatric and addictions inpatient treatment facility. Our mission is to expand the relationship between Wesleyan and the patients at CVH by recruiting students with a passion for health care, teaching, and social activism.
We’re looking for people with these interests to volunteer their time working closely with patients at the hospital. These classes would ideally include ones with therapeutic benefits, and could range anywhere from music to yoga.
If you like working with people and are looking to have a profound, meaningful experience involving teaching and healing, come find out more about this program. We’re holding an information session on Wednesday, September 14th, from 7 – 8 PM at the bottom of Usdan on the comfy black couches.
If you’re unable to make the meeting but are still interested in working at CVH, contact Emma Kingsberg ’12 (ekingsbergATwes) or Hannah Monk ’12 (hmonkATwes). See ya there!
