Acclaimed stand-up comic Emily Kianka ’13 offers up some jokes:
Q: Why did the UU cross the road?
A: To support the chicken in its search for its own path.
Oh, and a Unitarian Universalist event worth exploring tomorrow evening:
Do you enjoy exploring personal beliefs in the context of a supportive, spiritual community? Do you like sitting around a table and engaging in friendly debate about whether or not your religion is in fact a religion? Do you drink more coffee than is necessary?
This Sunday (September 18th) is the Unitarian Universalist Campus Ministry’s (UUCM) first potluck of the year! Whether or not you were raised UU, still identify as a UU, or simply want to learn about a religion that probably confused you when it was first explained by your friend on the elementary school playground, come to socialize, eat wonderful food, and learn about Unitarian Universalism and the UUCM!
Although it is not a requirement to bring food, we strongly encourage all who to attend to bring something, whether it’s a vegetarian entrée that serves 20 people or a box of cookies from weshop. However, if you are unable to bring anything, please still come! We would love to have you.
Date: Sunday, September 18
Time: 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Place: Albritton 311
