From Olivia Horton ’14 comes this tip about a particularly timely teach-in and discussion happening tomorrow in PAC. (If that doesn’t do it for you, there will also be free pizza.)
- Want to know more about wealth inequality in our nation?
- Curious about its effects on the health of our democracy?
- Want to learn how you can enact change?
Come to a discussion about activism, co-hosted by Democracy Matters and Occupy Wesleyan!
The event will first feature a talk by the Executive Director of Democracy Matters, Joan Mandle, on political activism. She will be speaking from her position at the head of a national political advocacy organization about how we can effectively enact change in our government. Following her talk, we hope to facilitate a discussion about methods and strategies we can use to bridge the gap between our governmental ideals and reality. Free pizza will be served!
Date: Wednesday, November 16
Time: 6:30 PM
Place: PAC 004
