From Ben Firke ’12, writer/director:
I’m looking for crew members for an original play I’m directing this spring. It is as-yet untitled, but the story is about an environmental activist’s discovery that he has fathered a child. He is then forced to decide what being truly “responsible” is––whether his duty lies with his friends in the movement or with his new son and partner he barely knows. The overall tone is that of a comedy-drama..Anyway, I’m looking for a set designer, a lighting designer, a sound designer, a publicity manager, and anyone who wants to help hang lights and build sets. If you have art skills, I’m also looking for a poster designer. The (preliminary) design concept I have is fairly minimal, so if you’re a relative neophyte to any of these things that’s OK. Since the deadline is coming up ASAP, please let me know within the next 48 hours if you can commit to the show.
- What your experience is with lights/sound/etc.
- Whether you have any huge spring conflicts (teams, other plays).
If you’re down, email bfirke(at)wesleyan(dot)edu by Wednesday.
