“Why is the church responsible for so much injustice?”

The title of this blog post, I have you know, is the actual name provided for this event. Though, perhaps a pithier title would have been less… uh, confusing. But then again, the goal was probably to be provocative.

When I first saw this submission sitting in the Wesleying inbox, I was inclined to sending a follow-up email to its submitter Joyce Wong ’12 to check if, indeed, this is but a mere instance of trolling. But, I decided to have a little faith instead, and run with it. If this is indeed an instance of somebody pulling a fast one – folks over at the Wesleyan Christian Fellowship, do let me know. I’ll get my baseball bat. Anyway,

Why is the church responsible for so much injustice? Why are Christians such hypocrites?

Wesleyan Christian Fellowship would like to host a discussion/conversation hour for anyone and everyone to express their opinions, thoughts whatever about the question.

Tea, hot chocolate and snacks will be provided!

Date:   Nov. 30

Because it’s hosted by Christians. They’re allowed say provocative things about themselves. It seems like the idea is to have a discussion with people who normally wouldn’t come to Christan Fellowship events…

    “Why are Christians such hypocrites?”

That’s a ridiculously immature event title. How could this be a productive discussion?
