Food Not Bombs wants your food, not your bombs:
Flushed with extra points and leaving campus in the spring? Middletown Food Not Bombs is accepting donations of kitchen staples and other non-perishables for immediate distribution on Main Street on Sunday. Either place them in the box outside the Weshop door or email fnbmiddletown(at)lists(dot)riseup(dot)net for a personal pick-up.
Food Not Bombs! is an informal anti-authoritarian network dedicated to the principles of mutual aid and direct action against hunger, militarism and inequality. Food is made available to everyone, rich or poor, drunk or sober. Diners serve themselves and anyone can contribute.
FNB will be sharing a free vegetarian feast and distributing produce and groceries on the corner of Liberty and Main Street at 1 PM this and every Sunday. Cooking begins around 11 in the kitchen of the First Church (just a block and a half down Court Street from High). Cooking experience appreciated, but hardly required. And don’t worry, they don’t arrest us anymore. Come cook and share food this Sunday with Middletown!
Awesome way to do good with leftover points. Thanks guys.
“Kitchen staples” meaning soy sauce, brown sugar, herbs/spices, cans of tomatoes, non-balsamic vinegars, etc. Anything you donate is great though!
