Kickin’ It with Let’s Get Ready Fundraising Kickball Tournament

Hypothetical situation: Someone rolls a plastic red ball at you from about 15 feet away. What do you do? You kick it in its stupid ball face! And let’s say, hypothetically, that this type of situation is occurring time and time again for a period of about 3 hours. What do you call that? A Kickball Tournament! And finally, let’s pretend that this type of thing is happening at Wesleyan. Then what do we do? We sign up to participate!

Let’s Get Ready–an organization that offers free SAT tutoring and college prep to local high schoolers–wants you and your most coördinated friends to sign up a team for their kickball tournament.  Your team should contain 8-10 people and the cost to play is $20. (Only $2 a person!) That’s a small price to pay to handle aggression. Think about how much therapy costs.

Instructions and bribes:

• Register a team at Usdan this Wednesday and Thursday at lunch and dinner with a $5 deposit and team captain name. Or send an email to jschofield(at)wesleyan(dot)edu if you can’t come at those times!
• There will be Pizza at the tourney, to satisfy all the hunger pains that are generally associated with ball kicking.
• Winners get cash money. And pride.
