Remember when you were a kid and your parents told you not to get up to any “funny business?” Well, fuck them! You’re in college now. If you’re of the humorous persuasion, come check out the Ampersand—we’re the Lehman Brothers of the funny industry, and the sub-prime humor-backed securities bubble is showing no signs of bursting!
We publish humor on the back page of the Argus every week, we make occasional videos, and we’re looking for new contributors, so come on down to the first meeting of the semester. Refreshments both sweet and savory will be provided!
Date: Thursday, Sept. 6
Place: 52 Home Ave.

Get off yr computer-box and audition for Gabe Gordon ’15, Emilie Pass ’15, and Paul McCallion ’15’s fabulous production of NEIGHBORHOOD 3: Requisition of Doom!:
In a suburban subdivision with identical houses, parents find their teenagers addicted to an online horror video game. The game setting? A subdivision with identical houses. The goal? Smash through an army of zombies to escape the neighborhood for good. But as the line blurs between virtual and reality, both parents and players realize that fear has a life of its own.
Audition for the darkest dramedy of the semester, NEIGHBORHOOD 3 by Jennifer Haley! This four-person show discusses pertinent topics including zombies, garden gnomes, chocolate milk, ballerinas, family relationships, and suburban pain. But seriously, come audition!

Brittany Manobianco ’13 and recently-turned-21 Ivy Johnson ’13 write in to let you know about the first informal practice for Vicious Circles, Wesleyan’s only ultimate frisbee team that sports an all-female roster. If you’re interested in playing club frisbee, then come on out to Foss Hill on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 with tennis shoes or cleats and some other athletic garb. No previous experience is required, and all grade levels are welcome though I’ve heard they have a special bias towards winning over the Class of 2016. So, come on out, and you can make awesome pyramids like this one.
