Whether you’re a current student, an alum, or a very enthusiastic parent, WesPregame is making it easier than ever for you to be in the loop about Wesleyan athletics. WesPregame is a sports broadcasting program provided by IMS that “provides rich, interactive Wesleyan content on game days that will be broadcasted live on the internet and throughout campus.” (This is according to its website.)
Started by Michael Yoshida ’13 and Lionel Nyange ’12 a few years back, WesPregame has already generated plenty of football coverage and commentary, available on its Youtube channel. It will be expanding its reach this year to include basketball in the winter and men’s lacrosse in the spring. Nyange writes in:
We designed WesPregame as a program that would cover all things athletic at Wes, from club sports to varsity, giving our audience an inside look at what makes athletics at Wesleyan unique and great. WesPregame is rapidly advancing towards our dream of covering all things sports at Wesleyan.
WesPregame will consist of live pre-game shows on home-game days (Saturdays this fall starting 9/29) and a week-in review talk show on Monday nights (starting 9/17). These will feature interviews with coaches and athletes, special segments on athletes’ lives, in depth analyses of our sports leagues and more.”
