Here’s How to Buy Tickets For Danny Brown and Kitty Pryde “Making Out Onstage for an Hour”

Yes, loudmouth weirdo Detroit rapper Danny Brown and 19-year-old Florida Tumblr-Wave sensation Kitty Pryde are coming to Eclectic on Thursday night. Yes, you can buy tickets with $5 (small bills, for the love of Ghostface) starting in Usdan tomorrow. Yes, Mr. Brown and Ms. Pryde are apparently dating not dating after all (they met over Twitter, and this will be their first show together). Yes, Tumblr-Wave is apparently a thing now. And yes, Kitty Pryde did actually post this in the Facebook event:

Danny Brown is probably the first chip-toothed rapper to compose romantic metaphors involving bulls, matadors, and “a pregnant Labrador,” while Kitty Pryde is definitely still in high school in Daytona Beach. If nothing else, this will be probably the weirdest hip hop event since Mr. Mothafuckin’ eXquire materialized in Eclectic last Spring. Thursday night, Detroit’s freakiest rapper, Danny Brown, and Florida’s only ex-Claire’s employed rap star, Kitty Pryde aka rap game taylor swift, will be coming to play at Eclectic in their first ever show on the same bill. This is really cool for us and for Kitty Pryde because she is pretty much Danny Brown’s biggest fan.

Danny Brown became a critical darling after the release of his album XXX on Fool’s Gold Records in 2011. In the past year, Brown has collaborated with the likes of A$AP Rocky, Das Racist, and Ab Soul. Kitty Pryde’s acclaim is a bit more divisive than Brown’s as judged by the reactions to her Okay Cupid video and the comments on this acb thread. Judging by her twitter feed, she doesn’t seem to care what you or anyone thinks. Sufjan digs it? You dig Sufjan. You’ll dig Kitty Pryde. Right? Wesleyan’s own Guy Fridge and Kilbourne will be opening.

Tickets are $5. We will be selling tickets in Usdan from 12 to 1:30 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and from 5:30 to 7:30 on Wednesday. To be sure you get your ticket(s), bring small bills and buy one as soon as you can because they may sell out before you know it.
