Whenever I have to make a crucial decision that will affect the lives of my many devoted friends (minions) I always think the best solution is to just ask the magic 8-ball in a phone, Siri. Evan Scarlett ’14 offers a look at a different method of leadership:

On Monday, October 8th at 8 PM a series of guest speakers will be discussing the importance of critical thinking as well as how it relates to leadership. Speakers include:

Michael Roth ’78
Peter Rutland (Government)
Steven Stemler (Psychology)
Abbey Francis ’14 (Argus Editor-in-Chief)
Mari Jaris ’14 (WSA Vice President)

Food and refreshments will be served.

Date: Monday, October 8

A series of short speeches, Mr. Batte! Each speaker has been directed to discuss critical thinking, and how the right understanding can make us better leaders at Wes and beyond. Abstract, more than specific. But definitely constructive.

I have no idea what this is. Is this a series of presentations? If so, what is each speaker talking about? A panel? A discussion with the attendees? Is this a really abstract conversation, or related to specific on-campus issues?
