Alderman ’11 Produces Web Series, “Chloe and Zoe”

“In real life, we don’t do anything… and then we get stoned and do so many things.”

Chloe and Zoe, above, is a new web series written by and starring two young women named—shockingly—Chloe and Zoe. The more relevant Wes connection is that Charlie Alderman ’11 is the producer. After graduating from Wes with a degree in English (and being profiled in Wesleying’s Thesiscrazy for his epic thesis on Franzen, DeLillo, DFW, and Bret Ellis), Charlie moved to Los Angeles and began studying film at the University of Southern California. A good percentage of Wesleyan should be able to relate to this episode, in which the two protagonists get high and reflect on their accomplishments.

Also highly recommended is Episode 2 of Chloe and Zoe, which appears past the jump. In Charlie’s words:

Episode 2 has a whole lotta Wes-ish going on: theater legend Josh Margolin ’11 starred, Braxton-acolyte Jon Myers ’11 mixed the sound (and did some heady stuff to it you can only learn if you’re tight with Braxton), and I directed.

There are currently four episodes of “Chloe and Zoe”, but new ones are released every Sunday.
