Middletown Remix: A Call to Wesleyan DJs (Win some $$$)

The Center for the Arts (CFA) at Wesleyan University is hosting a DJ competition for Wesleyan students. The competition is part of MiddletownRemix, a collaborative, place-based sound project that enables participants to develop and express the acoustic identity of Middletown, and to explore and experience the soundscapes of the city.  The competition will be split into two phases. In the first, students will submit a 2-3 minute remix by March 3rd.

By 11:59pm on March 3, 2013 applicants must:

1. Upload the remix to the MiddletownRemix page on SoundCloud
2. Email the SoundCloud link to with applicant’s full name, class year, title of remix and the
names of the MiddletownRemix sounds used. Send to eroosbrown(at)wesleyan(dot)edu or cbrady(at)wesleyan(dot)edu.  Subject title should read “MiddletownRemix Student Competition.”

The mixes will then be opened to the public to vote. The top four DJs will be asked to submit a 15 minute mix by April 30th at which time they will receive a $200 commissioning fee. Learn more about MiddletownRemix by clicking here.
