As Mark Twain is oft quoted, “history does not repeat itself—it rhymes.” As concerned as we are with our own marches for justice, it is worth remembering that hundreds have carried these same banners before us, and that for all our magnificent efforts, the weeds of wrong climb swiftly skyward. There will always be battles to be fought, but they must be fought nonetheless—there is no rest for us.
