Audition for BROADCAST

From Dylan Zwickel ’14:

Broadcast is an exciting new musical by Nathan Christensen and Scott Murphy that was workshopped at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Music Theater Conference this past summer. If you’ve ever wanted to be a musical theater hipster (because let’s be real, who doesn’t want that?) and be in an AMAZING show before most of the rest of the world even knows it exists, now is your chance.

Though set at the time of the invention of radio, Broadcast is a remarkably relevant look at the role technology plays in communication. A cast of five men and three women will explore how this incredible innovation empowered, inspired, rescued, and destroyed
the relationships of 30 historical and fictional characters.

Oh, and the music is ridiculously beautiful. If you don’t believe me, come find me and I’ll play a demo track for you. It’ll make you want
to audition, I promise.

Auditions will be held on Friday 9/6 from 5pm-8pm and Saturday 9/7 from 12pm-3pm in the Jones Room (TST 101), and callbacks will be Sunday 9/8 from 1pm-4pm, also in the Jones Room. Please come prepared with 16 bars of a song. Come when you can and you can leave when your audition is over.

The show will go up December 5-7.

Feel free to email the director, Dylan (szwickel[at]wesleyan[dot]edu) or comment with any questions!
