More from Hinds:

Analysis Group (AG) provides economic consulting services (including, for example, analysis of market structure, conduct, and performance; cost studies and assessments of damages; and expert witness testimony), financial guidance (valuation of securities and business entities; and quantitative analysis of financial and accounting data), and strategic counsel (related to growth; innovation; and competitive strategy) to corporations, law firms, government agencies and other non-profit institutions. Our clients include Fortune 500 companies spanning a number of industries (such as Microsoft, JP Morgan, and Walt Disney). We have a wide range of expertise, in areas including antitrust, energy, entertainment, environment and natural resources, health care, intellectual property, labor and employment, securities, and tax.

In addition, we work with internal experts and world-renowned academic affiliates, such as Glenn Hubbard (Dean of Columbia Business School), Robert Hall (Hoover Institution), and Ted Snyder (Dean of Yale University School of Management). Analysts are given the flexibility to pursue casework in fields that interest them through a variety of tasks ranging from conducting economic analyses for litigation support, to conducting market research for a strategic growth project, to co-authoring publications in leading academic journals. This combination provides the ideal environment for almost anyone, whether you are looking for exposure in a wide range of industries and business areas, you want to apply what you learned in economics courses at Wesleyan in the real world, or you are looking for a corporate environment with ties to the academic world.

The workload and expectations at AG are unlike other consulting firms. The firm is non-bureaucratic and non-hierarchal: an analyst’s opinion is just as valued as a manager’s, and everyone from analysts to managing principals has their own office. The team atmosphere at AG fosters personal and professional development through formal training sessions and informal meetings with fellow analysts. There is never a shortage of willing coworkers when you need help. We also have a strong support system for those newly entering the AG team. Upon joining the firm, you are assigned a peer mentor, a fellow experienced analyst, to be there for you to answer any questions you may have until you get acclimatized to the firm. Analysts are also assigned advisors who take on a more formal role with their career progression and professional development. This is an exciting time to join AG as the firm is continually expanding.
