The weekend of October 3rd-5th , Second Stage will be hosting a whole bunch of workshops in all sorts of things. Check out the schedule below! If you’re planning on being a carpenter or electrician this semester, I very highly recommend those workshops; if you’re looking to stage manage with us at any point, come on by Friday at 3. In this introduction to physical acting, we’ll explore
stream-of-consciousness movement, imagery, gesture, and relationships.
No prior acting or dance experience necessary. Wear something you can

If want to learn to write plays, take a playwriting class. If you want
to learn how to get them from the page to the stage, come to this

In this session, we will be discussing the role and responsibilities
of a stage manager, as well as sharing strategies for facilitating

Lighting

Come learn the basics of theater electrics! Whether you are completely
new to the wonderful world of theatrical lighting, or you would simply
like a refresher on how to be a better electrician, this workshop will
teach participants how to find, hang, focus, and strike lights in the
’92. Please wear closed-toed shoes and bring a wrench on the
