An invitation from Siri Carr ’15:
Take a study break this Sunday at 2pm to find out about the one and only WES-GILEAD ALLIANCE!!! There will be FREE COOKIES!!!
What is the Wes-Gilead Alliance, you may ask? The WGA is a student-run organization that works with Gilead Community Services in Middletown to pair Wes students up with a member of the Middletown community who is receiving Gilead services to help with their mental illness. It’s a buddy program that works to form rewarding relationships between Wesleyan and Gilead buddies as a way of helping them get rehabilitated back into society. Buddy meet-ups may include going on a walk, sharing a meal together, seeing a movie, going to a sporting event…almost anything goes!
If this tickles your fancy, stop on by Judd 113 on Sunday at 2pm to find out more! Attendance at this meeting does not require you to join WGA – this is just an info session to gauge interest for recruiting new members for next semester!
Date: Sunday (today!), December 8
Time: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Place: Judd Hall, rm. 113
