15th Annual DanceMasters Weekend Master Classes

Next week, the CFA brings 13 professional dancers to teach classes at Wesleyan:

13 master classes over two days provide an opportunity for intermediate to advanced dance students and dance professionals to explore diverse dance techniques.

On Saturday, March 8, Master Classes will be taught by Michelle Dorrance (Artistic Director of Dorrance Dance/New York), Virginia Johnson (Artistic Director of Dance Theatre of Harlem), Ronald K. Brown (Artistic Director of Evidence Dance Company), Eddie Taketa (Doug Varone & Dancers), Brandon “Peace” Albright (Artistic Director of Illstyle & Peace Productions), and
Souleymane Badolo (the 2014 Mariam McGlone Emerging Choreographer Award recipient).

On Sunday, March 9, Master Classes will be taught by Brian Brooks (Artistic Director of Brian Brooks Moving Company), Nicholas Leichter (Artistic Director of Nicholas Leichter Dance), Bill Hastings (Broadway veteran), Maria Bauman (Urban Bush Women), Carolyn Kirsch (Broadway veteran), Aubrey Lynch (Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater), and Ryoko Kudo (Limón Dance Company).

Place: Center for the Arts
Cost: $19 per class for the general public; $13 per class for Wesleyan students
