Thanks to the fabulously badass Jillian Roberts ’15 for this one:
Only recently did Kenichi, or Ken, take the leap forward coming to the US in order to share his craft and learn more on this path, and in just a short amount of time has gotten him opportunities to be a featured dancer in various live stages as well as assisting positions for choreographers such as Gigi Torres and Neil Schwartz, and most recently was a guest judge for PUSO’s SAYAW 2014 at Stony Brook University. Some may also recall that he was at the mL tour D.C. Season 2 and 3 winning awards both times. Ken’s style is unique to be sure and the best word to describe such would be “subtle” yet filled with details, close to what a lot refer to now as Urban. We would like to leave you with a sentence that Ken will be sure to get you saying, “Everyone has the freedom to live, and I live for the freedom to dance”.
