From Jenny Cascino ’17:
Professional court interpreter Sandra Cardone is returning to campus next week to host a two-part interpretation workshop on general interpretation techniques between Spanish and English.
Ms. Cardone specializes in training interpreters for the Connecticut court system, so what better chance to start dabbling in the art of interpretation if you’re new to it or have wanted to try ever since you saw Nicole Kidman in “The Interpreter”? Her training sessions at Wes two years ago were extremely informative and popular among attendees, so make sure to bring your lunch along to PAC the next two Tuesdays at 12 to get in on the Spanish/English fun!
Hosted by WesInterpreters.
Date: Tuesday, April 29
Time: 12-1 p.m.
Place: PAC 001
Join WSDR and ResLife for a screening of film clips depicting disability rights activism throughout history and a discussion of these actions and activists. Dinner will be provided.
Date: TODAY Monday, April 28th
Place: Butt A Lounge
Josh Krugman ’13 writes in:Do you have lots of extra points?
Consider donating them to
MIDDLETOWN FOOD NOT BOMBS!
All day Monday.
Just tell the cashiers in Weshop how many points you want to donate and they’ll do it right along with your purchase!
Our points get erased at the end of the year so this is a good way not to waste them while supporting food justice and activism in Middletown.
The bulk dry goods that FNB buys every year with donated points form the staple of our meals throughout the year!
Also, the Food Not Bombs meal happens every Sunday at 1 p.m. on the sidewalk outside of the Buttonwood Tree, 604 Main St. in Middletown. Good food, good talk, and sometimes drumming!
