Feminist Underground/Feminist Art and Thought Collective Interest Meeting

Come to the first combined interest meeting of the Feminist Art and Thought Collective, Project Not Asking For It, and the Feminist Underground. We will introduce our interconnected groups, discuss our fall meeting schedule, and open up the floor to discuss our concerns regarding discrimination, sexual assault, police brutality, trans* rights and how we can work in a conscious and coordinated to improve our community. With everyone’s help, we will develop feminist action plans for the near future, i.e. the board of trustees meeting this weekend.

Asian American Student Collective: First Meeting

Come join the Asian American Student Collective (AASC) in our first collective meeting!

If you’re identify as Asian American, or are just interested in Asian America, join AASC! AASC creates a space in which we can discuss and tackle issues facing Asian America and/or issues facing Asian Americans on campus, through discussions, speakers, and panels. We also work with other student of color groups on campus in building coalitions to advance the needs of our communities.

In our first meeting on Tuesday, we’re going to talk about what’s on deck for this upcoming year, what members of the collective want to do, as well as introductions and such to get to know one another.

Wesleyan University Sailing Team Info Session

Mental Health Support Group

support-group-meetingThe WESupport student group is once again teaming up with Counseling and Psychological Services to bring you the Mental Health Support Groups. This year, WESupport will offer two weekly meetings in order to fulfill the varying needs of the student body. If you’ve been struggling with depression, anxiety, the pace of college life, loneliness, stress, or anything else of that nature, you should join us! All are welcome! The groups will be facilitated by trained students who are also participants. We maintain a policy of confidentiality among group members in order to ensure as safe and respectful an environment as possible.

* On Mondays 4:30-5:45pm the group will remain open for students to come and go each week as they please.
* On Wednesdays 4:30-5:45pm we will meet as a closed group that maintains a set number of members, which will be solidified within the first couple weeks of meeting.

The first meeting of the open group is Monday, September 15th, from 4:30-5:45pm.

The first meeting of the closed group is Wednesday, September 17th, from 4:30-5:45pm.

Both groups will meet in the solarium on the 2nd floor of the Davison Health Center. Anyone and everyone is welcome at both first meetings!

Ajúa Campos: First Meeting of the Semester!

Join Ajúa Campos, Wesleyan’s Latin@ Student Group, at our first meeting of the semester!

Ajua Campos has been and continues to be the principal communicative instrument for the Latino community at Wesleyan University, educating Latinos as well as the greater Wesleyan community on Latino cultural values and political issues through all different types of angles.

Come get to know members of the Wesleyan Latin@ community, listen to some cool music, learn a bit about the history of Ajúa and Latinidad on campus and get a preview of what Ajúa is planning for this semester!
