Do you enjoy reading or writing poetry? Don’t have Fall Break plans yet? Already going to New York for Fall Break?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you should consider going to the Academy of American Poets Annual Forum on Saturday, October 18th in New York City. Poets including (but not limited to) C.D. Wright, Mark Doty, Jane Hirschfield, Naomi Shihab Nye, and Toi Derricotte will all explore different topics in a series of intimate talks over the course of the day. Essentially, it’s an incredible opportunity and the Wesleyan English Department and Writing Program have generously agreed to sponsor 10 students to attend. You must apply before October 1st at 8 PM in order to be considered. So CLICK HERE and get started on your application. If you have any questions, feel free to email kgibbel[at]wesleyan[dot]edu.
