1995. USA. Dir: Amy Heckerling. With Alicia Silverstone, Paul Rudd. 97 min.
A high school queen bee devotes her persuasive charms to manipulation, matchmaking, and makeovers in a modern-day take on Jane Austen’s Emma. Quintessentially ‘90s and delectably ditzy, Heckerling’s witty dialogue (and accuracy in depicting the terror of LA freeways) has secured Clueless a much-loved place in film history. Think you’ll leave Goldsmith in a bad mood? As if!
Tonight / 8 p.m. / Goldsmith Family Cinema / $5
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball! Andrew J. Martin ’15 thinks so, anyway:
Wesleyan’s premier Dodgeball League is here to make all your middle school revenge fantasies come true! We offer a competitive intramural league on Sundays starting in November (with an online ranking system!!) and a more casual one time tournament. Sign up with a team or sign up individually and we can set up a team for you. 8 players per team, 7 balls per game. If you would like to be placed on the listserv or for any more questions and information please contact Andrew J. Martin ’15 at ajmartin[at]wesleyan[dot]edu or Austin Barvin ’15 at abarvin[at]wesleyan[dot]edu.
Unfortunately, they will in fact be using balls, and not wrenches.
Start Date: Sunday, November 2nd
Place: Tennis Courts
