If you love to read, write, and—most importantly—help others with their writing, apply to be a writing tutor this spring!
The Writing Programs has several spring 2015 writing tutor positions open for highly qualified Writing Workshop tutors, writing mentors, and thesis mentors. The quick and easy pre-application form is due online by Monday, October 27th.
Tutors will be compensated for one semester of work with a $400 stipend and 1 course credit in English. All tutors are trained in ENGL 491/2, the Ford Teaching Seminar, which meets on Tuesdays from 12-1pm.
There are two steps in the application process:
1. The pre-application form is due online on Monday, October 27 at 5 pm. This is a short form indicating your interest in applying for a position.
2. The full application is due on Monday, November 3 at 5 pm. Applications are to be delivered to Professor Greene’s office (Downey House Room 207).
