PSA from the Shapiro Creative Writing Center and Sofi Goode ’17:

“I heard a slight groan, and I knew it was the groan of mortal terror.
It was not a groan of pain or of grief—oh, no!—it was the low
stifled sound that arises from the bottom of the soul when overcharged
with awe.”

When it came to scary stories, Edgar Allen Poe knew what was up. But
do you? Bring your ghost stories, bring your creepy poetry! Get in
touch with that “mortal terror” for Halloween 2k14.

Treats will be provided. Costumes are encouraged. Hosted by the
Shapiro Creative Writing Center and Writer’s Block.

Date: Thursday, October 30th
Time: 6:30-9:00 PM
Place: Shapiro Creative Writing Center, 167 High Street
