Comedy Web Series Auditions

Willie Zabar ’16 and Dan Froot ’16 have been writing a comedic web series, and now all they need is you! Though not required, comedy and acting experience is a plus.

Writing Certificate Info Session (and Lunch)

Considering Wesleyan’s exciting Writing Certificate? Come and learn about the Certificate at an information session and lunch this Friday, November 14th, from noon to 1 p.m. in Allbritton 311. Professor Anne Greene and Ford Fellow Taylor Steele will talk about the goals, opportunities, and logistics of the program, and how it can help you pursue your love of writing here at Wes! (If you’re not convinced yet, we’ll be serving pizza).

The Writing Certificate offers students from all majors a chance to practice writing in a range of forms. Courses approved for the Certificate include fiction-writing, poetry, screenwriting, playwriting, translation, and nonfiction, including biography, science writing, journalism, and writing about academic subjects for non-specialists.

Reducing the Stigma: Student Discussion Panel

Film Series: American Promise

This intimate, contemplative doc tracks two African-American boys and their families over 13 years, as they navigate the opportunities and frustrations of an America still coming of age on issues of race, class, and privilege. The directors – parents of one of the young men – thoroughly explore the boys’ experiences at a prestigious NYC private school with a new commitment to “diversity.”

The Hangman’s Lime, Wesleyan’s oldest and only all-poetry magazine, wants your poems! Korean Culture Show

The Korean Students Association is hosting their annual Culture Show on Friday, November 14th from 6-8pm in Beckham Hall! Come join us for a magical moonlit night full of passion and culture, tasteful dancing and romance. Watch us fan dance our way into your hearts, hypnotize you with our K-pop moves, and enthrall you with the moving beats of Maru.

*FOOD WILL BE SERVED!!* Price: $5 ($6 at the door) We’ll be selling tickets starting Monday-Froday (Lunch and Dinner) downstairs in Usdan for $5.  All proceeds go to Liberty in North Korea!
