It’s finally Thanksgiving break, and whatever your plans, we hope you have fun and enjoy
pretending you don’t have so much homework taking a break! To everyone going home, good luck talking politics with your families and avoiding high school acquaintances at the grocery store! To those staying on campus (like two-thirds of your favorite Wesleying editors!), look before the jump to find out what (limited) resources are available during break.
If you’re planning on eating… good luck. (Should’ve filled up tupperware at Usdan like Maya and I did.) Everything is closed Wednesday through Saturday. On Sunday, WesWings and Red & Black Café will be open for their normal hours: 11AM – 2PM and 5 – 8PM, and 9AM – 5PM, respectively. WeShop will reopen at 4PM, Usdan Marketplace (“upstairs Usdan”) at 5PM, and Summies at 5:30PM.
If you haven’t stocked up on food, you can go to Neon Deli (across from Freeman) and Nardelli’s (Washington Street next to BuHo) in the immediate vicinity of campus. There are also the late-night food carts—falafel, whey station, chicken, cupcakes(!?). They will probably be out there also.
Those looking to shop without a car may consider the Middlesex Fruitery on Main Street (priced like Weshop, but with pretty good fruit and a solid selection of teas) or taking a bus to Price Chopper. Route C will take you from campus to Price Chopper without much difficulty. Price Chopper is also open 24 hours a day, which is a plus.
If you’re staying on campus to get work done, here’s the library schedule:
All libraries close at 5 pm tonight and tomorrow. Thanksgiving Break library hours: http://t.co/UkUOmniUIP

Also, if you haven’t left your WesHome yet, please do all this (for Earth but also because it raises $$ for financial aid):
1. Close and lock all your windows.
2. Set your heat to 60 degrees (if you can control it). Do NOT turn the heat off.
3. Turn off power strips or unplug all electronics, chargers and small kitchen appliances. Do NOT unplug refrigerators.
4. Empty your trash, recycling and compost bins. Rinse compost bins and leave ajar.
5. Before the last person leaves, check to make sure to turn all lights off!
Have a wonderful holiday, and if you are on campus, keep an eye/ear out for possible Wesleying Thanksgiving happenings!
Go the the Public Market on main street. Itallan Grocery, it’s great.
FYI: Marco’s Deli closed June 2013 (“Mama’s Italian Market” is at that location now, but I’m not sure if they’re open yet). Also Middlesex Fruitery closed at the end of September this year. :(
