From Tess Jonas ’15:
Audition for Wesleyan’s independently produced, outdoor production of Shakespeare’s A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM!
We are looking for a high-energy cast ready to bring some Shakespeare in the Park to Wes! No experience necessary, just a desire to perform and maybe act like an ass… (see what we did there?!)
Audition Dates:
Friday January 30 – 3-7PM – Jones Room
Saturday January 31 – 1-5PM – Jones Room
Callbacks will be Sunday February 1.Please prepare ANYTHING that excites you! We want you to bring something that you’re comfortable with so that you aren’t reading off of a piece of paper. Some ideas: a monologue (Shakespeare or not!), a poem, a slam poem, an epic poem, a sonnet, a limerick, a song (sung or spoken!), a knock knock joke, a standup routine, an impersonation, a story about your childhood… anything goes as long as it has some English in it. Since Shakespeare was English.
