Green Solutions Auditions

An invitation from Charlie Martin ’16:

You are cordially invited to come audition for the new Wesleyan Film Project short film, written and directed by Charlie Martin.
Green Solutions is a dark comedy about two gardeners who discover a horrible secret in one of their clients’ backyards, leading them on a morally-shaky escapade of bad decisions.
The roles of our two protagonists are waiting to be filled. We’re looking for people who can make us smile, even in the face of terrible circumstances. So if you’ve got what it takes, then come on down and take a read!
Also, if you’re a scary looking guy, we can work around that too!!

Date: Sunday, March 1st – today!
Time: 4:01pm – 6:01pm
Place: 41 Wyllys, room 113

Music at The Russell House: Stanley Maxwell

Andrew Chatfield invites you to a concert this afternoon:

“Hearing this quartet bop their way through their own brand of modern jazz is like a cleanser for the overexposed mind, as the four players manage to create an ensemble-sized sound with a wealth of nuance and compositional thoughtfulness.” —Home Grown Music Network
The Connecticut-based quartet Stanley Maxwell plays original music that blends tight arrangements with intricate group improvisations. The conservatory trained group of musicians features Andy Chatfield on drums, Mark Crino on bass, Eric DellaVecchia on alto saxophone, and Evan Green on piano.

The group has built a grassroots name for themselves at colleges and festivals throughout the northeast since 2001, combining the virtuosic and the simple into a visceral concoction, which helped lead to their winning “Best Jazz Band” in the Hartford Advocate’s Grand Band Slam Readers’ Poll in 2007, 2009, and 2010.
The group also won “Best Jazz Song” at the 7th annual Independent Music Awards, as well as the Relix Magazine November 2007 “JamOff” contest for unsigned artists.
At Wesleyan, the band will present acoustic arrangements of original tunes from the past decade, including several world premieres.

Date: Sunday, March 1st – today!
Time: 3:00pm – 4:30pm
Place: The Russell House
