From Tae Hee Kim ’15:
Join us for a screening of The Waiting Room (2012) with a facilitated discussion afterwards by Dr. Dave Woo ’08. “Short-listed for an Academy Award, The Waiting Room is a character driven documentary film that uses extraordinary access to go behind the doors of an American public hospital struggling to care for a community of largely uninsured patients. The film offers a raw, intimate, and even uplifting look at how patients, staff caregivers each cope with disease, bureaucracy and hard choices.” The film will run for approximately an hour. Dr. Woo will lead a discussion on the American medical system, drawing from his experiences as a resident physician.
Dinner will be provided.
Dr. David Woo ’08 is currently a resident physician in the Emergency Medicine at University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
