From Miranda Haymon ’16:
Music Theatre Workshop (THEA 279, MUSC 230), a new class being offered this fall through the theater and music departments, is now accepting applications. Taught by Quiara Alegría Hudes who wrote the Tony-nominated book for In the Heights and the Pulitzer-winning play Water by the Spoonful, the class will delve into the history of the American musical and double as a writing laboratory for the collaborative art of dramatic songwriting. Composers email one or two song samples, lyricists email one or two lyrics, poems, or scenes to: qhudes@wesleyan.edu. Applications due May 1. Students will be informed in mid-May.
