True, the world’s foremost (post)-punk/art/funk/dance/world/new-wave band may have broken up over twenty years ago, but just for one night it doesn’t have to be true. Arresting visuals and an awe-inspiring set list bring you closer than humanly possible to David Byrne and the band in their prime during this concert movie filmed on Talking Heads’ 1983 tour.
This Hindu religious service, led by A. V. Srinivasan, marks the most auspicious day of the year for beginning new endeavors. The audience may participate and bring instruments, manuscripts, and other items for blessing. This event is part of the 39th annual Navaratri Festival.
