Film Series: Stop Making Sense

1984. USA. Dir: Jonathan Demme. Documentary. 88 min. 35mm print.

True, the world’s foremost (post)-punk/art/funk/dance/world/new-wave band may have broken up over twenty years ago, but just for one night it doesn’t have to be true. Arresting visuals and an awe-inspiring set list bring you closer than humanly possible to David Byrne and the band in their prime during this concert movie filmed on Talking Heads’ 1983 tour.

Tonight / 8 p.m. / Goldsmith Family Cinema / $5
