From Jackson Barnett18:

Is 300 the best film ever? It is. Come watch well oiled men, brisk battle sequences, and a completely accurate HISTORICAL re-telling off the BATTLE OF THERMOPOLYAE in which 300 Spartans (and 1500 Thebans [not shown]) desperately and proudly lose a minor battle in the First Persian War.

300: A True Story goes down in history as a must watch film, like Citizen Kane, Die Hard 2: Die Harder, 102 Dalmations: Die Harder, and Terminator 3: Die Harder. Described by the New York Times as “Yup, this happened,” and avclub.com as “This in fact was a film, printed on physical medium,” 300 was shown in theaters all over America.

IT IS COMPLETELY FREE.

The question really comes down to this: what else are you doing on Thursday night before fall break?

Sponsored by the Classics Major’s Committee with the generous aid of the SBC and the Wesleyan Film Series.

Date: Thursday, October 22nd
Time: 8 PM
Place: Goldsmith Family Cinema
