Hear ye, hear ye: We have a couple of rad tips to share that we’ve collected over the last month! Check out our Tipbox and submit stuff that relates to Wesleyan, Middletown, or Wes alums.
1. Mima Good’s Video Release (from Tess Altman ’17)
Remember Raechel Rosen ’15? She like just graduated… she brought us super uncomfortable productions like Blow and Lodia.
Well, she has a new alter ego, + her name is Mima Good — a semi-fictional resurrected Salem witch. She exists on the internet here in song, gif, and story form.
And she just released a new single and video!
2. Social Media Controversy in Middletown
A woman running for Middletown Common Council is facing some heat over what she posted to her personal Facebook about women, minorities, and Wesleyan University students. Read more here.
3. Milk & Choreo’s Schedule (from Sara Feldman ’17)
Milk & Choreo is a free and open space for the Wesleyan community to learn and be exposed to dance, without necessarily having any prior dance experience. We teach fun, free, beginner level hip-hop dance workshops every Saturday.
NO auditions, NO performances, NO stress! YES, just you and dance. We offer BOTH a physical and virtual space. Mike & Choreo takes place Saturdays at 2pm in the Fayerweather Dance Studio. NO dance experience necessary! Check out the Facebook page here.
4. Check Out the “Whiskey Sour” Music Video (from Chantaneice Kitt ’13)
Music video starring Wes alums Chantaneice Kitt ’13 and Paulie Lowther ’13, including a cameo from Wes senior Markeisha Hill ’16. Vocalists Jess Best ’14 and Evan Okun ’13 shine over a beat made by Sam Friedman ’13 and Myles Potters ’11.
