“Mad Rush”—Pianist Lisa Moore plays Philip Glass

Wesleyan Private Lessons Teacher Lisa Moore has been described in The New Yorker as “New York’s queen of avant-garde piano.” At the Russell House, she will present highlights from the Philip Glass solo piano collection featured on her new album “Mad Rush” (Orange Mountain Music). The roots of the music lie in motion pictures (“The Thin Blue Line,” “The Hours”), opera and Ghandi (“Satyagraha”), and Buddhism (the Dalai Lama’s entrance into St. John the Divine Cathedral).
