From Sofi Goode ’17:
Apply for the Spring 2016 Masters Class with memoirist and essayist Saïd Sayrafiezadeh. While not for credit, this class is an opportunity to work closely with a tremendously talented writer. Sayrafiezadeh’s short stories and personal essays have appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, The New York Times, The Best American Nonrequired Reading and New American Stories, among other publications. He is the recipient of a Whiting Writers’ Award for nonfiction and a fiction fellowship from the Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers.
All Wesleyan students are welcome to apply, but must be able to commit to all three dates. A (free!) dinner will be included after one class.
Classes will meet at the Shapiro Center, 167 High Street on:
• Monday, February 15, 2016
• Monday, March 21, 2016
• Monday, April 18, 2016
Each class will run from 6:00 – 8:30pm in the Shapiro Center.
To apply, send a cover letter and writing sample to abloom(at)wesleyan(dot)edu. All applications must be submitted by Friday, December 4th.
