Award-winning poet Rick Barot will read from his work on Thursday, November 19th, 2015, at 8:00 pm in Wesleyan University’s Allbritton Center, 222 Church St, Middletown, CT.

Rick Barot attended Wesleyan and The Writers’ Workshop at the University of Iowa. He has published three books of poetry, all with Sarabande Books: The Darker Fall (2002); Want (2008), winner of the Grub Street Book Prize and finalist for the Lambda Literary Award; and Chord (2015). His poems and essays have appeared in numerous publications including Poetry, The Paris Review, The New Republic, Ploughshares, Tin House, The Kenyon Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, and The Threepenny Review.Barot has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Artist Trust of Washington, the Civitella Ranieri Foundation, and Stanford University, where he was a Wallace E. Stegner Fellow and a Jones Lecturer in Poetry. The director of the Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University, he is also the poetry editor of New England Review.
