Directing I is a studio course offered by the theater department for students interested in investigating the role and work of a director. For this class to be successful, we need student actors to work with us! Anyone–theater major or not–who’s interested in exploring two to three person scenes with a student-director can audition, and if you get in, you will receive a half credit for your work. You will need to be free on Mondays from 1:20pm-4:10pm.
We will be working with texts from classical and contemporary playwrights including but not limited to: Paula Vogel, Tennessee Williams, Quiara Hudes, and Arthur Miller.
If you are interested in auditioning, come by the Theater Studio (TST 001) between 6:30-9:30pm on Monday, September, 12. Be prepared with a 1-2 minute memorized monologue, and an explanation of why you chose it. Also, we encourage all people of all identities to audition!
