Audition for The Brothers Size, written by award-winning playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney and produced by Wesleyan University’s Second Stage!

An absorbing drama set in the bayou country of Louisiana and loosely based on West African myths, The Brothers Size depicts the daily rhythms of two brothers, Ogun and Oshoosi–the latter of whom has recently been released from prison–and Oshoosi’s friend Elegba, whose affection for Oshoosi threatens to destroy the connection between the brothers. It dissects the expectations and limitations of black brotherhood, as well as the implications of romantic love between black men.Through a series of hot summer days, the brothers live out a story about loyalty, love, redemption and the elusive possibility of freedom.

Performance dates are March 8, 9 and 10
