The women’s XC team finished off its season with a bang, placing 14th out of 32 teams at the NCAA Division III Championship in Cleveland this past Saturday, Nov. 21. Captain Ravenna Neville ’10 received All-American honors, placing 22nd out of 280 runners with a time of 22:37.2 over the 6k course. The sixth Cardinal woman to place in the top 35 for All-American honors, Neville led the team in its third showing at Nationals to equal the highest finish made by the team in 2004. Second among the Cardinals, and a strong new addition to the team, Julia Mark ’13 (first on the left), came in 70th with a time of 23:19.8.
Neville (third from the right) on the team’s accomplishment:
“I’m really proud of our 14th finish– we finished fourth for our region and ran through tough conditions. Six of our seven members had never been [to Nationals] before, and it’s really exciting to see the future of this team.”

Congrats to both the team and Rav! GO WESXC!
The Wesleyan Korean Drumming Ensemble had their end of the year performance tonight. In addition to the Beginners and Advanced Classes’ performances, there was a special guest, Jung Bae Park, who came and played many traditional Korean instruments.
In the end, the audience was invited to join in and give their hand at Korean drumming, and it turned into a really great time with people holding hands in a circle and running around, while others drummed in the middle.
As the MC, Jiun Kim ’10 said, “Korean drumming is about unity and community, so we decided that even with the events of the past week, we should perform as scheduled, to bring the Wesleyan community together.”
For those of you who missed it, be sure to attend next year!
